How to Use the 'Skills / Keywords' Filter

In this article, we explain how to filter your search results using keywords and specific skills.

Updated this week

This filter searches the entire profile for the word or words you add to this filter. If you add more than one skill or keyword, we will show results that contain at least one of these words in the profile.

Are you looking for specific skills or expect to find certain words in your candidates' profiles? Then you can use this filter.

Using the Filter

1. Open a search query or start a new one.

2. Open all filters by clicking the arrow at the bottom of the list of default filters.

3. Go to the 'Skills / Keywords' filter.

4. Type the keyword you want to search for in a candidate's profile and press enter.

5. You can also select the 'Exclude' or 'Must Have' options after you have added the word.

3 Ways to enter a Skill

There are three different ways to search for a job title, and each method yields different results. In the example below, we use "monteur" as the job title.

  1. Monteur
With this input, you will see all results where the word "monteur" appears in the job title. This can range from "bike mechanic" to "mechanic large assembly worker" and "assistant mechanic."

  2. "Monteur"
This input will show you only the results where there is an exact match for the job title "monteur." This means that only those job listings will be displayed where "monteur" is the sole term.

  3. *Monteur*
This method shows you all variations of the word "monteur." You will see results such as "bike mechanic," "mechanics union," "auto mechanics training school," and even "bike mechanics training institute."

Note: You can enter a maximum of 5 skills, as this puts a greater load on our server. As a result, the search query may load more slowly when you add these under 'Skills.'
