How to Use the 'Languages' Filter

In this article, we explain how to filter candidates based on the languages they speak.

Updated today

Looking for candidates who speak a specific language? This filter helps you find the right match.
If language skills are important for your role, the ‘Languages’ filter helps you exclude candidates who don’t speak or understand the required language(s).

🧠 Always accurate language detection

We scan each candidate’s profile to detect the language it was written in.
Why? Many people don’t list their native language because they assume it’s obvious.

With this smart detection:

  • we identify the languages a candidate speaks

  • you won’t miss out on great candidates just because they didn’t add their mother tongue to their profile

Perfect when you're looking for Dutch, English, or any other language. 💬

🚀 How to use the filter

  1. Open a new or existing search

  2. Go to the ‘Languages’ filter

  3. Type the language you want to filter by (e.g. Dutch, English)

  4. Select the right language from the suggestions

Candidates who don’t speak the selected language(s) will be excluded.
