💡 What & Why
When a candidate replies positively to Robin Jr's qualification questions (for example, tagged with the status INTERESTED), Robin displays an Email received card in your Robinbox. It compares the candidate's answers to your job's requirements, field by field, allowing you to decide whether to move them forward without re-reading the full conversation.
⚙️ How it works
The card consists of two distinct sections:
Doesn't match: Fields where the candidate's answer falls outside your job's requirements. This section is open by default.
Match: Fields where the candidate's answer meets your requirements. This section is collapsed by default. Click it to view details.
Each section header lists the specific fields involved as chips (such as Salary, Shifts, Languages, Available days, Working hours per week, Certificates / licenses, and Preferences). Below the fields, you will find two action buttons: Reject candidate and Send interview invite.
🛠️ Setup & Field Logic
Why does a field show as "Doesn't match"?
Robin compares each answer given by the candidate to the requirement set for that field. If they do not align, the field appears under Doesn't match.
Keep the following details in mind:
Certificates / licenses: Can show as a mismatch even when marked as "optional". Optional means the candidate wasn't required to have it to apply—it does not mean a missing certificate is ignored in the comparison.
Preferences: This is a list rather than a single value. If none of the candidate's listed preferences overlap with your job's duties, the entire field is flagged as a mismatch.
Dash ("—"): A dash means no value was given or no requirement was set—not necessarily a mismatch on its own.
✨ Result & User Experience
The card allows you to make screening decisions in seconds. Depending on your choice, the following actions occur:
Send interview invite: Moves the candidate into scheduling. Subsequent steps depend on the role's review settings (auto-schedule, auto-schedule with holds, or always review).
Reject candidate: Ends the candidate's pipeline for this specific role immediately.
🛑 The Limits
Mismatches do not block actions: Mismatches are shown for information only. You can still send an interview invite even if several fields display as a mismatch under Doesn't match.
Trigger criteria: The card only appears after a candidate has fully completed Robin Jr's qualification questions and provided a positive reply.
❓ FAQ
Why can't I immediately see the fields that matched? The Match section is collapsed by default to keep the card focused on items that require your attention. Click the arrow next to Match to expand it.
Why didn't a candidate receive this card? If a candidate has not received this card, the most common reasons are:
They haven't finished the qualification conversation yet.
Their reply was classified as negative, which ends the pipeline without generating this card.
They exited early through the "not for me" flow.
