To log in to Werk.nl, you need an eHerkenning account. You can request this from one of the six possible providers (Reconi, KPN, Digidentity, Z-Login, We-ID, Quovadis). You’ll find the steps to do this in this article.
When applying for a ketenmachtiging (chain authorization), you select a validity period (1, 3, or 5 years). This means that at the end of this validity period, you must renew your ketenmachtiging; otherwise, you will lose access to Werk.nl candidates.
When ketenmachtigingen reach their end date, they need to be manually renewed by the customer. Fortunately, this is a very simple process, and we’ve outlined the instructions below:

KPN:
Log in to the KPN User Portal.
Click on 'Management'.
Click on 'Authorizations'.
Select the organization that granted the standard authorization and the employee whose authorization you want to renew.
Renew the desired authorization via the icon.
Choose the validity period.
Click on 'Next'.
Accept the terms.
Click on 'Complete'.
